Office Therapy is the most well known and traditional setting for mental health services. This face to face interaction between the client and therapist creates an environment of in-depth analysis and interpretation. The office is the most often recommended setting for therapy, however, research is beginning to demonstrate that On-Line Therapy and Phone Conference can also be very successful.
On-line therapy has become an important and accepted theraputic tool. We’re all accustomed to paying our bills on-line, making our travel plans, doing our research, taking classes. It makes sense to use on-line services to take care of our emotional well-being. There are laws and ethical standards written and adhered to by Social Workers practicing on-line therapy. On-Line Therapy is useful for clients that need the flexibility that this service offers. Using E-Mail as a Therapy tool is progressive, flexible and confidential. The therapeutic value a client obtains through this environment is impressive. There are many reasons that a person cannot come into a Therapy office setting, E-mail provides a way to still receive support services when you need them.
A Phone Conference is a multi-purpose tool for Therapy. A Phone Conference can be scheduled as a Therapy session itself or it can be used as a consultation for information or education.
Head and Heart Support (hhsupport.com) provides On-Line Therapy for adults 18 years and older. Services for clients younger than 18 years are provided at the office location only. Head and Heart Support will make every effort to meet your mental health needs. Not all mental health issues are appropriate for on-Line therapy. If your issue can’t be dealt with on-line or through phone therapy, we will offer alternatives.
